Establishes a biological grandparent–grandchild link when the father is deceased or unavailable
When the alleged father has passed away, is unavailable, or refuses to participate, a grandparent DNA test can establish the biological connection between a child and the paternal grandparents. The informational test compares the grandchild's DNA with one or both paternal grandparents to calculate the probability of a biological relationship. Results are private and for personal peace of mind only. Accuracy improves significantly when both grandparents participate.
