COURT-READY RESULTS YOU CAN TRUST

COURT-READY RESULTS YOU CAN TRUST

Legal paternity analysis is performed by DDC (DNA Diagnostics Center) — an AABB-accredited laboratory with over 30 years of experience producing court-admissible DNA results for child support, custody, immigration, and legal proceedings across the United States. When results need to hold up in court, the laboratory behind them matters.

What Legal Paternity Testing Covers

Legal paternity testing is for situations where identity, sample handling, and documentation must stand up to official review—not for casual at-home curiosity.

  • Child support, custody, and parenting-time matters that require documented paternity.
  • Birth certificate updates, name additions, or corrections tied to legal parentage.
  • Immigration, citizenship, and other government filings that require defensible DNA evidence.
  • Court-ready results when you need a report that attorneys, agencies, or judges can rely on.

What to expect

  • Every adult participant brings valid government-issued photo ID; collectors verify identity at the visit.
  • A certified collector witnesses the collection and completes regulated chain-of-custody paperwork.
  • Results are typically ready in 3–5 business days after the lab receives valid specimens.
  • Your report is prepared and signed for legal use when your case requirements are met.

Need a private answer without court paperwork? Informational paternity testing follows a simpler path and is not designed for legal use.

  2. Schedule Your Collection

Book your chain-of-custody appointment at our Rolling Meadows accredited partner location—or ask whether coordinated collection may be available for your case.

  3. Receive Your Results

Common questions

Is this test confidential?

Yes. Your information and results are handled discreetly. Only people you authorize—or those required by law—receive details about your case.

Do I need a doctor's order?

Most legal paternity visits do not require a physician's order. If an attorney, agency, or court gave you specific instructions, share those when you request your appointment so we route you correctly.

How long do DNA results take?

Many legal paternity cases receive results within 3–5 business days after the lab accepts valid samples. Complex cases or shipping delays can extend that window—your coordinator confirms timing when you schedule.

What is the difference between legal and informational testing?

Legal testing uses witnessed collection, ID verification, and chain-of-custody paperwork so results can be used in court or official matters. Informational testing is private peace-of-mind testing and is not intended for court use.

Can testing be coordinated to my location?

Many legal paternity collections take place at our accredited Rolling Meadows partner site. For some situations, we may be able to coordinate service closer to you—call us and we will explain what applies for your case without overpromising.

Do you serve areas outside Rolling Meadows?

Yes. We serve families across Arlington Heights, Schaumburg, Palatine, Elk Grove Village, Hoffman Estates, Des Plaines, Mount Prospect, Buffalo Grove, Elgin, and the greater Chicagoland area. Collection is typically at our Rolling Meadows partner location unless your coordinator confirms another option.
