DOT Consortium & TPA Services in Ontario, CA

Ontario sits in the western Inland Empire, roughly 35 miles east of downtown Los Angeles, and handles freight moving between the Los Angeles and Long Beach harbors and the rest of the country. Carriers based here, from local delivery fleets to long-haul operators, need a DOT Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse program that keeps up with constant hiring and dispatch.

What is a DOT consortium / C/TPA?

A DOT consortium combines the drivers of many employers into a single random testing pool that meets the federal requirement for a statistically valid selection. We administer that pool for you, which means random selection and notification, scheduled and post-accident collections, Clearinghouse queries, MRO coordination, and the paperwork behind it.

Why it matters in Ontario

The city lies between Interstate 10, State Route 60, and Interstate 15, with warehouse and distribution operations spread around Ontario International Airport, which is among the busiest cargo airports in the country. That mix brings many employers who run a few trucks for regional delivery and need to add drivers quickly when volume rises. Each new CDL driver needs a pre-employment Clearinghouse query and a negative pre-employment drug test before safety-sensitive work, so a consortium that has the paperwork ready keeps a new hire from sitting idle while compliance catches up.

Pricing

Consortium enrollment is priced by fleet size: $99 for 1 driver, $199 for 2-5 drivers, $349 for 6-15 drivers, $499 for 16-25 drivers, and $749 for 26-50 drivers. Fleets above 50 drivers receive a custom quote.

Frequently asked questions

We hire drivers in waves when warehouse volume peaks. How does that work with a pool?

New drivers are added to the pool when you tell us they have started, and each one still needs a pre-employment Clearinghouse query and a negative pre-employment drug test before driving. Send us the start list as early as you can so the paperwork is ready.

Do drivers who only deliver locally from a warehouse count?

If the driver operates a vehicle that requires a CDL, the driver is covered no matter how short the route. Drivers of smaller vehicles that do not require a CDL are generally outside the DOT testing rules, though your own policy may still require testing.

Is a Clearinghouse query a one-time thing?

No. You run a full query before a driver starts, and then at least one limited query every year for each CDL driver. We can run both for you once the driver consents in the Clearinghouse.

Can we cover non-DOT warehouse staff under the same program?

DOT testing and company testing are separate programs and must be kept separate. If you also want to test warehouse employees under your own policy, we can discuss that alongside your DOT enrollment.
