Drug Testing for Chicago metro Data Centers and Contractors
The person ordering a test may say Chicago, while the crew is reporting to a secured facility in Elk Grove Village or a suburban construction site. Getting the location right is the first step toward keeping the collection organized.
Onsite Employer Testing coordinates employer-directed drug and alcohol collections for data center operators, builders, and service vendors in Chicago metro. A qualified collector can come to an eligible worksite, or employees can use one of 8,500+ collection locations nationwide. We review the location, timing, test type, and program before confirming arrangements.
Choose worksite collection or a collection location
We come to you
Request collection at a suitable site office, contractor trailer, administrative room, or other approved private area. The location must support the required specimen process, privacy, identification, and chain of custody. Security access and collector availability must be confirmed.
Your employee uses the network
Applicants, remote hires, and traveling employees can use a collection location near their current location. Confirm the ordered service, hours, and any appointment requirements first. The 8,500+ figure describes the nationwide network, not locations within this city.
Separate live-facility requests from construction onboarding
Chicago-area data center work spans city facilities, suburban campuses, and trade contractors moving between industrial locations. Operations teams may need an individual collection after an incident while a general contractor needs a planned onboarding event for several employers.
For an operating facility, the collection plan should protect privacy and preserve staffing. Identify a room outside restricted technical space, the authorized site representative, and how donors will be released without leaving a critical function unattended.
For a construction event, start with a roster grouped by employer rather than one list of everyone entering the gate. A common site does not make the owner the employer of every electrician, security officer, or low-voltage installer. Keep account numbers, test reasons, DOT status, and result permissions attached to the correct person.
What this could look like for your team
A suburban Chicago project includes an electrical contractor and a separate security vendor. They can share an approved collection window, but their paperwork and result routes remain distinct. Facility management receives only information it is authorized to receive.
This is an illustrative planning example, not a claim about a customer or completed project.
Testing requests we can help coordinate
Employers can request pre-employment or pre-access collection, policy-authorized random testing, reasonable-suspicion collection, post-incident testing, and return-to-duty or follow-up collection. Breath alcohol testing can be reviewed when authorized and available for the applicable program.
Most data center roles are non-DOT. Covered drivers or other regulated employees require the correct DOT testing process; a safety-sensitive job title alone does not make a position DOT-covered. Keep DOT and non-DOT orders separate.
A collected specimen is not an instant access clearance. Laboratory processing, confirmation, medical review, and employer or owner acceptance may still be required. For an incident, call promptly, prioritize emergency care, and follow your policy and any applicable regulatory deadlines. Testing does not replace the employer's incident investigation or establish current impairment by itself.
Before requesting Chicago service
Please provide:
Municipality, street address, and security entrance
Employer-specific rosters and result permissions
Private collection area and a worker-release plan
Donor count, test reason, DOT status, panel or specimen, and preferred collection window
Existing TPA, laboratory, or MRO instructions, if applicable
Our market focus includes Chicago, Elk Grove Village, Itasca, Franklin Park, Northlake, and surrounding suburban project sites. Nearby communities are service-request areas, not a claim that we operate a local clinic or can guarantee dispatch at every address.
Employers remain responsible for lawful testing authorization, worker notices, privacy, policy decisions, and employment or access decisions. State cannabis protections and other employment rules may affect the program. Have counsel review the actual role and policy rather than assuming a customer requirement overrides the law.
Chicago data center testing questions
Can you arrange testing for suburban Chicago data center sites?
Yes, where the requested service and location can be supported. Give the exact address rather than only Chicago so access and scheduling can be reviewed.
Can a security contractor and electrical contractor attend one event?
Yes, subject to planning. Their employer accounts, orders, paperwork, and result routing must remain separate.
Does Illinois cannabis legalization make every employer test invalid?
No blanket conclusion should be drawn. Test selection and employment decisions require review of applicable law, policy, job duties, and any federal requirements.

Plan the collection before it becomes a project delay
Tell us where your Chicago metro team is working, who employs the workers, how many people need testing, and when collection is required. We will review a worksite option, a collection-location option, or a combination suited to the request.
